URPUBMIS — an incident reporting system for the Danish Defence

Full-stack development on a government incident-reporting platform, built independently of the SharePoint/M365 ecosystem.

Written in English — the working language of most Stockholm engineering teams.

Problem

The Danish Defence needed a system for reporting and tracking incidents (URPUBMIS), including migrating existing data into it, built and maintained by a small team.

My role

  • Developer in a team of 3.
  • Owned frontend development in React, contributed to the API, and wrote the data-migration scripts.

Approach

  • Built the frontend in React and TypeScript, consuming a C#/.NET API backed by Entity Framework and SQL.
  • Wrote PowerShell- and XML-based migration scripts to bring existing incident data into the new system.

Outcome

  • Delivered and maintained a production incident-reporting system for a government client over a multi-year engagement.
  • One of the few engagements built as a standalone full-stack application rather than on top of SharePoint/M365 — the same React/.NET/SQL stack, independent of that ecosystem.
