Enterprise SharePoint intranets, from workshop to launch

Problem

Enterprise and public-sector organizations — including the Danish Defence, CBS, BankData, and SydBank — needed SharePoint Online intranets that matched their real information architecture and governance requirements, not an out-of-the-box template.

My role

• Lead consultant or consultant within a 2-3 person delivery team.
• Owned requirements gathering, solution architecture, and information architecture design.
• Facilitated client workshops and managed project planning.

Approach

• Ran discovery workshops to translate organizational structure and content needs into an information architecture.
• Designed metadata models, search configuration, site structures, and permissions to match each organization's governance requirements.
• Provided continuous post-launch support: maintaining metadata, search, sites, and permissions as needs evolved.

Outcome

• Delivered SharePoint intranets for large, governance-sensitive organizations across public and private sectors.
• Several engagements extended from initial delivery into long-term support and governance advisory — including an ongoing Viva Connections and Microsoft 365 governance engagement with University College Copenhagen.
