Document and role management system for CBS, as Scrum Master and developer
Combined Scrum Master and hands-on SPFx development on a SharePoint On-Premises engagement.

Problem
CBS needed a document, internal-systems, and role management system built on SharePoint On-Premises — an older, more constrained platform than SharePoint Online.
My role
- Project leader and developer in a two-person team.
- Acted as Scrum Master for the engagement while also developing SPFx web parts.
Approach
- Ran the project as Scrum Master — sprint planning and delivery process — while personally developing the SharePoint On-Premises web parts.
- Built web parts in React and TypeScript against SharePoint On-Premises, using CAML queries and the Search API where the modern Graph API wasn't available.
Outcome
- Delivered a working document and role-management system on SharePoint On-Premises — a platform most current SharePoint developers no longer have hands-on experience with.
- Combined a formal Scrum Master role with hands-on development, evidence of the process-leadership side of the PM track, not just delivery.
